I was born in Lancashire and have been searching for pies like these for years. These are the real deal, just as I remember them from being a girl. I have a feeling that people who were not born in Lancs might not “get it” as they may expect a little more meat. THat said, I hope they never change the recipe as these are true to the potato pies I remember.

I have memories of great potato and meat pies from my childhood, fresh from the small shop nearby. And as supermarkets rarely sell any but a certain brand beginning with H (which are not like those pies of memory) I have been searching for the perfect pies.
I have tried 4 companies so far, and all have fallen short.
Greenhalgh’s were number 5 and the search is over! These are what I wanted: proper Lancashire potato and meat pies, just like those I used to love as a child.

The first one was good and I have frozen the rest. However, there are no instructions for heating from frozen and no instructions for heating in an airfryer.
