HINDLEY SHOP LOSES MARGARET BENNETT TO RETIREMENT

Margaret Bennett, 74, who worked baking and serving customers, finished work on Friday 17th January 2020.

Margaret enjoyed working at our Hindley shop. Being a local, it was very handy for her, and she has always enjoyed talking to our customers. Customers also popped in to say cheerio to Margaret on her last day.

Margaret said that she has enjoyed working with her work colleagues and has made many, many friends over the years. “That’s the part I’ll miss, working with them especially after all these years, but at the same time, I’m ready to retire.”

Margaret was presented with a beautiful vase from the Board of Directors along with a message from David Smart Greenhalgh’s Managing Director thanking Margaret for her loyal service.

Pictured are Margaret with her gift and certificate along with work colleagues, Glenys Jarvis and Julie Ward.
