Huyton shop celebrates its first 12 months

One year on, local baker is rising to the occasion

20/03/2009

It’s been the icing on the cake for Greenhalgh’s in Huyton as this favourite family baker celebrates its first 12 months of successful trading in the town.

To celebrate the occasion, customers enjoyed free samples of freshly made products throughout the day. The Worshipful Mayor of Knowsley, Michael Foulkes and Louise Tulley from Age Concern were invited by Greenhalgh’s to blow out the candle on a cascade of cup cakes, all of which Greenhalgh’s has donated to the local residential care home.

Sandra Ogden, Greenhalgh’s retail sales manager, enthused: “We are delighted with how we have been welcomed into the local community. With business exceeding expectations in the first three months of operating, trade has continued to be brisk with savoury products being particularly popular with local shoppers. We are obviously doing something right and I would like to pass on my thanks to all our customers who have helped to make our shop such an instant success.

“The Company will shortly be stocking its striking range of Easter lines. There are a number of new editions together with seasonal favourites.”
