Greenhalgh’s Launches Taste of Asia Range of Savouries
Greenhalgh’s has just launched its brand new range of savouries, jointly developed with top Indian chef Bishal Risaily. Bishal who is the head chef at Victoria’s India in Longridge, Preston has a prestigious past, having worked at world class restaurants such as the Taj Sheraton in Mumbai and Chutney Mary in London.

There are four savouries in the range. The pies and pasty are each made with shortcrust pastry and the slice is made with puff pastry.

The Moreish Beef Pie contains beef, potato, peas, garlic, chilli, ginger, coriander, roasted cumin and methi.

The Lamb Biryani Pasty is made with halal lamb, potato, peas, garlic, onions, peppers, cumin, coriander, methi and chilli.

The Tandoori Chicken Pie is made with tandoori marinated chicken, onions, peas, potato, carrots, tomato, peppers, chilli, ginger, methi, coriander and potato.

Completing the range, the ever popular Balti Slice has been improved with added spices, sultanas lentils, methi, ginger and chilli.

Bishal has a strong belief that Indian cuisine is one of the healthiest in the world offering a good balance of protein, carbohydrates, vitamins and fibre. This is in tune with Greenhalgh’s philosophy of using natural healthy ingredients and time honoured baking methods.

Produced at its Bolton bakery using time-honoured, traditional craft methods, Greenhalgh’s is passionate about its products and believes that time and nature are the keys to good honest food.
